For generations, golf has been part of the fabric of Plant City. The Patch is an opportunity to bring that tradition back; not by recreating what was there before, but by building something more thoughtful in its place.
Plant City Country Club is proposing a nine-hole, par-36 course measuring approximately 3,235 yards, shaped by the property’s existing wetlands, woodlands, and water. Designed to be walked, enjoyed, and played in an afternoon, The Patch will be a course that welcomes regular play, friendly competition, and the simple pleasure of time outdoors.
More than a course, it is intended to become a gathering place for Plant City: a place where families, friends, neighbors, and future generations can share in the game.

Who Will Design and Operate the Course
The Patch is being planned by Plant City Country Club, LLC, a locally rooted ownership group committed to creating a golf experience that reflects Plant City’s character and long-term future.
Plant City Country Club will be responsible for the design, operation, membership structure, public-access opportunities, pricing, and programming of the course. As those details are finalized, they will be shared directly by Plant City Country Club.
The course would be privately owned and operated. It would not be a City park or maintained at public expense.
The Clubhouse
At the heart of the property, the plan includes a new golf clubhouse and amenity area designed to support the course and the people who use it.
The clubhouse will offer a comfortable place to gather before or after a round, enjoy food and beverage, meet with friends, and take part in the life of the club. Limited to a maximum of six acres and a maximum height of 36 feet, it is intentionally located near the center of the property and connected to the neighborhood through the proposed trail network.
Its purpose is simple: to create a welcoming home for the game and a lasting amenity for Plant City.
A Long-Term Commitment to Golf and Open Space
The Patch proposal is centered on preserving the property’s role as a place for golf, open space, stormwater management, and floodplain mitigation.
The Planned Development application designates the applicable parcels for those purposes on the site plan submitted to the City. While that designation is not the same as a permanent conservation restriction, it establishes the land-use framework being requested through this application.
Plant City Country Club’s vision is to create and maintain a lasting golf destination—one that respects the site’s natural character while restoring an important recreational asset to Plant City.
Membership and Access
Plant City Country Club is developing a membership and access model intended to support a strong, active, and financially sustainable club while creating meaningful opportunities for the broader community to enjoy the course.
Final membership categories, fees, public-play availability, and related details will be announced by Plant City Country Club as planning advances.
